This Privacy Policy describes how TravelChronicle (“the App”, iOS Bundle ID
com.h3.trvlbox) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information.
By using the App, you acknowledge this policy.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the service, we may collect the following information. It is
linked to your account, used only for
App functionality, and not used for tracking
you across other companies’ apps or websites:
Email address: provided at registration for account identification and related service contact.
User ID: account identifiers used for login, plus session tokens that keep you signed in.
Account credentials: username and password (stored and transmitted securely; never shown in plain text).
Photos: images you explicitly choose from the library or capture with the camera and upload. We do not silently scan your photo library.
Journey content: titles, dates, location text, diary text, and related metadata you enter.
Technical data: basic request metadata needed for security and API operation (e.g. IP, timestamps). We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
Location fields are user-entered text; continuous GPS tracking is not required by the App.
2. How We Use Information
Create and maintain your account (registration, login, logout, session refresh) using User ID, email, and credentials;
Store and display your journeys, diaries, and photos;
Generate AI travel chapters when you request them;
Maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and comply with law.
This data is linked to your identity and used for
App functionality only. We do not use it for
cross-app/website tracking or advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Storage & Transfer
Service data is stored on infrastructure we operate (currently in mainland China).
Client–server traffic uses HTTPS.
Tokens are kept in the device secure store (e.g. iOS Keychain).
4. Sharing
We share personal information only with your consent, as needed to fulfill a feature you request (e.g. AI generation), when required by law, or in a corporate transaction subject to this policy.
5. Your Rights
Access and correct journey content in the App;
Delete photos and diaries you manage;
Sign out and clear local session data;
Delete your account in Settings (“注销账号” / Delete Account). This permanently removes the account and journey data, including photos, except where law requires retention.
6. Children
The App is intended primarily for adults. If you are under 14, use it only with guardian consent. We will delete such data if collected without proper consent.
7. iOS Permissions
Photos / Camera: only when you upload travel photos; you can revoke access in system settings.
8. Changes
We may update this page and the effective date. Material changes will be communicated reasonably. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
